Metaverse
The Wikipedia definition describes this in the following way: “The metaverse is a hypothetical iteration of the Internet as a single, universal and immersive virtual world that is facilitated by the use of virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) headsets. In colloquial use, a metaverse is a network of 3D virtual worlds focused on social connection.”
The metaverse has many different aspects and viewpoints and as depicted in the book and movie “Ready Player One”, could also be seen as an alternative universe to our own. This universe provides us with many opportunities to extend our own perceptions of reality including the visualization of data and information that we wouldn’t normally be able to see in real life. For us, this is the perfect medium for organizations to interact with their real time enterprise data in new ways which will enhance their operations in a collaborative way from anywhere. The pandemic has brought into focus our requirement to continue operations in an environment where physical co-location may not be possible. Interacting with our corporate or Government data is not always possible when we are working from home, or from dispersed locations where travel is restricted. Make no mistake, pandemics will not go away and climate change may also start restricting our ability to travel.
Enterprise organizations are looking to find a way to operate in the metaverse however most capabilities are built upon game engine technology that is built for games, not for interaction with real time data in its various forms. We solve that problem by building our technology with the data in mind from the ground up.
Our solution is able to be modified and tailored to specific data needs that enable an enterprise to work within their part of the metaverse effectively, collaboratively and remotely.
